For France 5’s Échappées belles, the 90-minute special “Papouasie, la dernière frontière” spent time with the police of the capital.
Échappées belles is France 5’s travel magazine. In April 2012 it broadcast a 90-minute special on Papua New Guinea, Papouasie, la dernière frontière, directed by Laurent Bouit and produced by Bo Travail!.
One of its sequences follows the police in Port Moresby: a view of the capital and of the security questions that shape daily life there.
Filming with the police
Filming with a police force needs formal agreements, a clear framework for what can be shown, and constant attention to the safety of the crew and of the people filmed.
